Please note that a NW residence does not necessarily mean you are in the boundaries for CNWB. As well, recent changes to boundaries may mean that players who have played for CNWB in previous years may now belong to a different zone so use the zone finder link to verfiy before registering. Any registrations outside our boundaries will be withdrawn and accompanied by a $50 administration fee.
Registration Timeline
Registration for the 2023-24 season will open on June 1, 2023. Registration will remain open until all spots are filled, then athletes will be placed on a waitlist.
Program Capacities
Register early to ensure a spot in our programs. It is Calgary NorthWest Basketballs’ goal to provide an opportunity for all of our members to participate, however we are limited by our gym availability. Once specific age categories are full they will be closed to further registration, so please register early.
Our LTP & Tyke programs fill quickly so please register early to ensure a spot.
Payment Method
Please note that for the 2023-2024 season all online registrations must pay via credit card at the time of registering. If a participant can not pay via credit card they must contact the Calgary NorthWest Registrar to make other arrangements. Payment must be made at time of registration.

Juvenile (U18) - Division (2006, 2007, 2008)
We will be doing a Fall registration opening June 1, 2023 for the September to December 2023 fall season. Then we will be reopening for registration mid November (*TBD), 2023 for the Winter season from January-March 2024. Each season will be paid for separately. There will be no evaluation session for winter season, players will be placed on teams based on previous experience and/or player/coach information. The season structure with regards to practice and games will remain the same as it has in previous years.
NEW **Waitlist Registration/Waitlist Refund Policy
If a player has waitlisted, they will be notified if a spot becomes available in which case the $50 waitlist fee will be applied to the confirmed registration. In the event that the player declines the spot, the waitlist fee is non refundable. If the player is not offered a spot by the time the season commences, a full refund of the waitlist registration fee will be issued.

We understand that some children are involved in multiple activities and where possible we will try to accommodate, however, conflicts with these other activities do not qualify as an exception and no refunds will be issued due to player requests not being met.
Player Requests
Please note that we will take player requests however we do not guarantee that we can meet these requests. Please understand that no refunds will be granted based on player requests not being met. NEW **Uniforms
Each player will be given a uniform that is to be worn at games only, NOT practices. These are to be returned at the end of the season as a complete set (jersey & shorts), washed and in good condition. After April 1, 2024, any players who have not returned their uniforms will be charged $125 to their credit card. Tyke and LTP do not require a uniform return as they are given t-shirts/uniforms to be kept by the athlete.
NEW**Volunteers
CNWB is a volunteer run organization and we require that all families be willing to contribute in some capacity throughout the season. If volunteer commitments are not fulfilled for any CNWB families, including those as needed (ie. score keeping), a charge of $200 per player with a maximum charge of $400 per family will be applied to your credit card at the end of the season.
CNWB does offer a No Volunteer option, which if chosen you will be charge $200 per player with a maximum charge of $400 per family that can be chosen at the time of registration. We encourage families to volunteer their time as our programs require this to operate.
Proof of Age
All players who are new to Calgary Minor Basketball as well as all first year minis, must provide a copy of their birth certificate or Alberta Health Care card at the time of registration (CMBA will not register a player unless they have received this proof of age from CNWB.) A player's registration will not be accepted or considered complete until this has been received (even if payment has been made). Please have a copy of this documentation ready to upload when registering on-line. For players who are new to CNWB but have played basketball for another community within CMBA, please inform the registrar of the community last played for so they may retrieve your CMBA ID#.
