Our evaluation schedule has been posted to our website (Evaluation Schedule) and we are in need of many volunteers to help with evaluations. We NEED your help! In having to implement new protocols this season, we are in need of more volunteers than in past years and need the help of our NW families to get this season up and running.
2 Types Volunteers Required:

Evaluators may sign up for any session. This season do to circumstances, we will allow parents to be in the gym slots where their athletes are attending, we will work to keep parents from directly evaluating their own athlete when possible
Please review our evaluation schedule and let Kevin (kevinjohnston2@shaw.ca) know what sessions you are interested in and available to evaluate. With short time frames Kevin will not be able to respond to all emails immediately, he will compile the requests and they create a volunteer schedule and get it out to all. Please be patient, we appreciate all the help we can get.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the administrative portion of evaluations and this will help towards fulfilling your volunteer requirements (No previous basketball experience is required). Our evaluation schedule has been posted to our website and we are in need of many volunteers to help with evaluations. We cannot do this without your help. Please review our evaluation schedule and let Kevin (kevinjohnston2@shaw.ca) know what sessions you are interested in and available to evaluate. I have many sessions and volunteers to juggle. I will respond and confirm with you as soon as I have a good idea on what our greatest needs are. I will not be able to respond in all instances but will confirm with everyone once the schedule is sorted out. I would appreciate as much information as possible when hearing from you. Yes some of the Saturday sessions are quite long in duration as we have some very large groups that require a longer evaluation session.
Usually, we do not have parents evaluate their own children during our sessions. However, with the logistics of Covid protocols and some longer sessions than usual, we will be willing to allow parents to evaluate when their own athlete is in the gym. I am not worried about the skills sessions at all and I will also make an effort to keep parents on different courts from where their athlete is playing come game time. If you have any concerns about this please let Kevin know, but we have to be resourceful at this time. That being said, if you want to evaluate sessions where you do not have children that would be great.
Evaluators MUST have some basketball experience and the ability to demonstrate some simple drills. We do not have the luxury of our Dinos players this season to demonstrate.
For clarity and ease of administration, please provide the following:
Indicate precisely what session (s) that you are available to evaluate for (eg. U13 Girls, Saturday10 am)
For reference, the first session for most of the boys groups will be a skills evaluation (ball handling, shooting etc). The second session will constitute game play. Our girls groups are smaller in size and we hope to finish them in one session as we do have limited gym time. Any questions about the evaluation process, please check our website.

Duties include checking players in for evaluation and writing corresponding numbers on athlete’s legs.
Logistics volunteer
Guiding athletes between the gym and the drop off/pick up zones.
