Evaluation Volunteers

Volunteers

Our evaluation schedule has been posted to our website (Evaluation Schedule) and we are in need of many volunteers to help with evaluations.  We NEED your help!

2 Types Volunteers Required:

1. Evaluators/Coaches - on court, MUST have some basketball experience, knowledge and the ability to demonstrate some simple drills

2. Administrative/Logistics - no basketball experience necessary, admin and logistic duties moving and organizing athletes (all parents are qualified!)

Please Read the following more detailed descriptions of what is required below:

1. On court Evaluators/Coaches - on court

Evaluators may sign up for any session.  If needed, we may allow parents to be in the gym slots where their athletes are attending, we will work to keep parents from directly evaluating their own athlete when possible

Please review our evaluation schedule and let Kevin (kevinjohnston2@shaw.ca) know what sessions you are interested in and available to evaluate.  With short time frames Kevin will not be able to respond to all emails immediately, he will compile the requests and they create a volunteer schedule and get it out to all.   Please be patient, we appreciate all the help we can get.   

When emailing please include the following: 

1. Indicate precisely what session(s) that you are available to evaluate for (eg. U13 Girls, Saturday10 am), date
2. Please tell me if you have an athlete in that age group 
3. If you indicate several sessions of availability, please let me know how many you are willing to do and an order of preference.
4. If you are very flexible with availability, please let me know.  I will assign you where the most help is needed.
5. If you are new to the program or the evaluation process, please indicate to me a brief account of your basketball experience.  This is so that I can place you in the proper grouping (U15 is much different than U11)

2. Administrative/Logistics Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help with the administrative portion of evaluations and this will help towards fulfilling your volunteer requirements (No previous basketball experience is required). If you are able to help out please email Laurie Glenn: laurie.glenn@gmail.com  with the following information;

 The session(s) you are available for

1. Volunteer position and shift #
2. Your name and cell phone number 
3. Your participating child’s name
